The Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group is made up of Murdoch and community members dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of Murdoch's bushlands.
A remnant Banksia woodlands and a healthy Melaleuca-dominated swamp can be found in the southern region of campus; Murdoch has also been declared as a super-roost for the threatened Carnaby’s cockatoo, due to their preference to roost in the trees in Murdoch University. These sites, however, need to be maintained and restored when necessary in order to ensure the continued health of the natural community.
